15/09/08

Monday, for some, is the worst day of the week. Geldof, for example. But tonight, thankfully, you're not him. Which means you don't have to dwell on your appalling back-catalogue and you can go out and have fun.

La Caffetierra Stiopetta (Concert)

Tuzrakter, behind the yellow church on Kiraly, 19:00
Hegedű utca 3 [map]

Buda, VI, Kiraly utca(T4, 6), 2 min

The last st(i)op (ietta) before this choir, made up of ELTE students and the hub's own Lucy F, head off to Italy, for a big choir competition. Romantic, Medieval, Renaissance and Folk songs, all for the princely sum of nought forint. Not sure what the cafetiere's got to do with anything though.

Take a chance on...

The Crowd (Concert)
Örökmozgó 15th September, 20:30
One of the last great silent films, King Vidor's 1928 classic gets a rare cinema screening. Could have Hungarian inserts, but the cinema's website is being a bit cagey about all that. Review here.

Garage Monday
(Concert/Club)
Filter, 15th September, 21.00
Monday's always a slow day, but if you're desperate, there's a garage rock night usually on at smoky Filter.
