Animal Collective (Concert)

A4 Nultý Priestor - Bratislava, Slovakia
17th October, 20:00

We know, we know. Animal Collective ARE NOT playing in Budapest, but Bratislava is just a quick trip (around three hours) by train, and hey, it's Friday, shouldn't you be getting out of town anyways? This little jaunt will certainly prove worthwhile, as this is one of the closest cities Animal Collective will be hitting up. So go ahead, shirk your Saturday make-up work day responsibilities and stay a night in Bratislava with one of America's most noteworthy indie bands of the moment. We'll be there. Interview and article to follow. Hear their music here. Ticket info here.

50% Depeche Mode Klub (Depeche Mode Club - 50%)
Filter, 17th October, from 22:00
In terms of pop music, Depeche Mode are the Beatles! In Hungary, for some reason. Smoky underground club's regular indie night.

FestiBar (Free Drink) Akku, 17th October, 10:00 - 02:00
Did you attend one of Budapest's Autumn Festival many events today? Well save that ticket stub, and head on over to Akku to claim your free cocktail upon presentation of said ticket from any of the day's festivities. Maybe you can figure out the address here.

Control (Film), Toldi Art Cinema, 17th October, 16:30, 18:45, 20:45
The biopic of Joy Division's, Ian Curtis continues to run here in Budapest. Photographer turned director, Anton Corbijn's depiction of the tumultuous emotional and personal life of Curtis is spot on and visually stunning to boot.
