12/11/08

Morrison's 2 has a "Blond Girls Party" tonight, which allows you to get in free and get a free cocktail, provided that you're a blond girl. Appalling! But then, hey, this is the 21st century; who needs all that equal rights stuff anyway? Discrimination is kind of fun isn't it?

Jean-Michel Jarre (Concert)

Papp László Sportaréna, Budapest

12th November 2008, 9,500 - 18,500Ft

Stefánia út 2 [map]
Pest, XIV, Stadionok (M2)

Lord help us, Jean-Michel is going to play the entirety of his Oxygène album. In 1978, it might have felt like music from another planet but in 2008, it sounds like a pretty corny sci-fi soundtrack. Now, I'm not saying he wasn't a pioneer; I'm just saying that if you go to see this concert, make sure you take enough drugs.

Details and tickets here.

Also worth a gander...

Rewind (Club)
Corvintető, 12th November, 21:00
DJ Palotai and friends will be breaking it up as usual just under the roof.

John Scofield
(Concert)
Millenáris [map] 12th November, 21:00, 6900 - 7500Ft
We were just talking about John Scofield yesterday, in the same breath as Gadó Gábor, and here he is popping up with his Piety Street Band. One of the highest profile jazz guitarists in the world today - reflected in the price, I might add.

Transylvanian Táncház
Fonó, 12th November, 20:00, Sztregova utca 11,
Táncház anyone? Scared that you haven't got a clue how to do any of the dances? Fonó has the solution: a folk-dance course at 18:00 and then táncház with
Eszterlánc - straight outta Transylvania.
