Be Kind Rewind (Film)
Palace Mammut, 11:00, 17:30
Palace Mammut: Lövőház u. 1-3 [map]
Buda, II, Szena tér, (T 4,6) 1 min

On paper, Michel Gondry's latest sounds great - the story of two video store employees who accidentally erase their entire collection, then film home movies to replace them. The Guardian called it 'funny and entertaining', but the Observer's Phillip French was less than impressed. 'A sentimental whimsical embarrassment', he moaned. Reviews here.

Take a chance on...

Haggard (Concert)
Club Diesel, 17th November, 18:00
German symphonic metal? Haggard is perhaps one of the only metal bands with a cello and viola in the mix. Also on the bill are Remember and Twilight. This should be a crowd pleaser, or at least a concert that dudes with hair longer than their girlfriend's can actually bring their girlfriends.

Open Mic Night
Nothin' But The Blues Pub, 17th November, 19:00
, free
Are you sitting at home playing the lonesome blues, wishing it was you up on stage? Come on, sling your guitar around your neck, get down to Krúdy utca and sing the lonesome blues to someone else. They've probably got it too.

"Rece-fice" Balkan Táncház (Dance)
Fáklya Klub
, 17th November, 18:30-22:30
B
udapest is, without a doubt, táncház capital of the world. Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Macedonia and Serbia fuse together in a Balkan folk orgy of traditional dance. A wee bit more info here.
