Buda, XI, Petőfi híd (Budai hídfő) (T4/6), 2 min

Mardi Gras have a big brassy Dixieland sound, so, as you would expect, they're from Germany. Doktor Wenz, on vocals and guitar, looks like he's been in the washing machine too long but carries it off either in a flat cap or a stetson. Myspace here.
Support comes from the marvelously titled, Long Tall Sonny & His Wild Cows, who are straight out of the 1950s, with no compromises. Proof here.

Waldeck (Concert)
Millenáris [map] 30th November, 21:00, 2000Ft
Millenáris launch their Winter Festival with possibly the cheapest thing they've ever put on. Waldeck meld their electronica into jazzy ballroom swing stories. Odd. Myspace here.
Compagnie 9.81 (Contemporary Circus)
Trafo, 30th November, 20:00, 2500Ft/Student 1900Ft
In what seems a myriad mix of American Gladiators-style acrobatics and Cirque du Soleil poetic movement along with a light show, this art performance should wow anyone from kids to old farts. Info from Trafo's site here. More info in French here.
Burn After Reading (Film)
All manner of Palace Cinemas: times here
The Cohen Brothers get a notch lighter in the star-studded follow-up to the universally acclaimed, No Country for Old Men. But please spare us the comparisons to the Big Fucking Lebowski, (something reviewers all over the place have failed to do.) Malkovich, Clooney and Pitt get tangled up with the CIA. Reviews here.
