Sticky, icky, icky, icky; System on blast, cops just pass; Just seen a big ol' ass (It's Saturday!); Sticky, icky, icky, icky, Sticky, icky, icky, icky... If Ludacris were in Budapest, he'd probably be at one of these...

Karaván Familia (Concert)

Millenáris Park, 10th January, 16:00, 800Ft
, kids 600Ft, family 2000Ft
Kirókus u. 16- 20. [map]
Buda II, Széna tér (T4/6), 5 min

Lead by Istvan Nagy and his wife, Ilona Farkas, the Karavan Familia really are a family. In 2003, they augmented the band by adding their children, who 'grew into their new roles' (!) Traditional Gipsy music from the Balkans to Andalusia. Watch them play "the blues" here.

This is actually the climax to a family festival, so if you don't want to see kids running around, don't go. If you happen to have some nippers of your own, turn up any time after 10am for a whole host of kids' events, including a finger-puppet circus at 11am!!!

Take a chance on...

I'm Not There (Film)
Művész [map], 10th January, 21:35
Six actors take on Dylan in Todd Haynes' ambitious biopic. It could have been awful, but it isn't, and the sections with Cate Blanchett are magnificent. Reviews here.

Jazz Showcase (Festival)
MUPA, 10th January, 16:00-20:00, 600Ft
3 days of new Hungarian Jazz talent ends here. Four hours of jazz at 600Ft a ticket is the bargain of the week. The more prestigious acts roll up at 20:00 but that costs more: 1000Ft - 2300Ft. Tickets and details here.

Ülkei Dávid and Guests (Concert)
Sirály, 10th January, 21:00
Jazz alto-saxophonist, Ülkei Dávid has been part of several outfits including Kardos Négyes, CoffeeSnob Extreme and Tettamanti Téma, who have been known to mix in a little hip-hop. But there are no MCs on the bill tonight.
