Shortbus (Film)
Művész, 16th February, 22:00
Teréz körút 30 [map]
Pest, VI, Teréz körút T4/6), 1 min
What happens when New York City sexual decadence collides head on with today's generation's disaffection? Shortbus. What do you do when seeing a really sexually graphic film in a public theatre? Shortbus (don't pull a Paul Reubens, I'll tell you that much). What do people do on the shortbus? Shortbus.
This is John Cameron Mitchell's sexy "fuck you" to censorship in film - an exploration of an array of sexual behaviors, all somehow culminating in one place: Shortbus.

Also worth a shot...
Balkan Táncház (Dance)
Budapest Jazz Club, 16th February, 20:00
Budapest is, without a doubt, táncház capital of the world. Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Macedonia, Serbia. And the list just keeps getting longer...
Modern Art Orchestra (Concert)
Take Five [map], 16th February
An eighteen piece orchestra, sometimes drifting towards the contemporary but at their best with the more traditional big band sound. Accomplished, certainly. Our review here. Myspace here.
All Night Breakbeatz (DJs)
Instant, 16th February, free
At Instant the crowd ranges from really good looking girls to odd businessmen in sport coats. But on a night like tonight, you can ignore all that and dance to the breakbeat stylings of Vida L., Vida G., and someone named Marka. Event MySpace here.
The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button (Film)
Puskin [map], 15:15, 18:15, 21:00
The critically acclaimed film by director, David Fincher ('Fight Club', 'Zodiac'), makes its way to Budapest in record time and close to Oscar season. With the title and the barest workings of plot snagged from an F. Scott Fitzgerald short story, 'Button' "sighs with longing and simmers with intrigue." Bradd Pitt's even got an Oscar nod for best actor. Trailer here. Review here.
