There's no recorded case of Swine Flu in Hungary...yet. Fresh off a string of tour dates in Mexico City (no joke), the UK's Max Pashm Band hits Budapest on their second date in Europe, not even a week after their last show in incubation-land. Never mind the Ajvar, pass me some-o-that H1N1!
Budapest's own reliably lively rumba and jazz-tinged gypsy stalwarts, Romano Drom are at the top of tonight's BB sesh as well. As the UK is the guest country of the night, DJs Malaka and Max hail from the land of fish and chips as well.

ION - Irrational Orthodox Noise (Concert)
Cökxpôn, 600Ft
Well, it's not very logical but it's got a certain sinister industrial pop groove, and at the same time it amuses me somewhat. Aslo on tonight's bill are Esclin Syndo and DJ Pabloslam. ION Myspace here. Hub band review here.
Futurecop! (Concert)
Corvintető, 1300Ft
The Boss meets Daft Punk. These neon freaks from Manchester will most certainly have the kids in tight pants and lensless sunglasses out in droves tonight. It's kind of funny though, this whole 90s fashion revival. Hey, spandex can be cool if smokin' hot babes are wearin' it. Tubular Futurecop MySpace here. Typical electro-pop/indie DJs follow the band.
