It's 396 years since Shakespeare's Globe Theatre burned to the ground! Seems like only last week. You can try your hardest to set the night on fire with one of these...

Kispál és a Borz (Concert)
Zöld Pardon, 29th June, 20:00
Goldmann György tér 6 [map]
Buda, XI, Petőfi híd (Budai hídfő) (T4/6), 2 min
With 20 years behind them, Kispál és a borz (Little Paul and the Badger) are Hungary's answer to... Blur? Well, perhaps not but they're certainly one of the best-known alternative bands in Hungary. With a not-entirely serious approach to songwriting they've avoided being entirely swallowed up in the mainstream too.

Crosstalk (Festival)
Gödör, 12:00, free
The six-day festival of video art continues. The MUSAC collection lends a Spanish tinge to this international festival - details of all the films doing the rounds on the website here. If you can work out what's happening when, you're a better man than me.
The Proposition (Film)
Művész [map], 17:15
An Australian western with a script by none other than Nick Cave. Made in 2005, starring Ray Winstone, Danny Huston and Guy Pearce, it's brooding and violent. Take a sofa with you - you'll need it to hide behind. Reviews here.
Citizen Havel / Splinters (Films)
Örökmozgó [map], 18:30, 20:30
The Visegradi film festival brings a clutch of Czech, Slovak and Polish films, most (and certainly these) with English subtitles. Citizen Havel gives us a witty 13 years in the life of Václav Havel - 'Scenes from the Presidential Kitchen' while Splinters is a tragicomedy set in industrial Silesia.
