Sziget - Day Two (Festival)

13th August, All Day
Óbudai Island [map]

The Ting Tings and Bloc Party are undoubtedly the highlights of today's Main Stage programme but you should take some time to discover some of the other stages and zones on the island. The World Music Main Stage, for example, is headlined by the amazing Grammy-Award-winning Cuban jazz superstars: Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club, whilst Mercury-nominated Tricky pops up on the A38-wan2 stage. Robert Capa (Exhibition) - Guided tour in English
Ludwig Museum, 11:00, 1900ft
Recently, Hungary purchased nearly 1000 of Robert Capa's photographs from New York's International Center of Photography, effectively putting one of the series' three reproductions in the nation of the photojournalist's birth. Though the purchase was for a vast collection, only about 1/20 of the prints are on display. The exhibition is on daily until October but guided tours in English begin at 11am.

Kampec Dolores (Concert)

A38 terrace, 21:00, 500Ft inc. drink
Highly recommended by "a German daily paper", Kampec Dolores ask, "Is this music a kind of virtual world music?" The answer is, of course, "What???" A meld of Jazz and Folk, 23 years touring, and some far-out vocals, makes for an interesting evening. Mainstream it isn't. Christopher Manik and minimal tech-house pals follow.
