Anna & the Barbies (Concert)

Delírium, 18th September, 21:00, 1000ft

Kertész utca 33 [map]
Pest VII, Kiralyi utca (T4/6), 3 min

They describe themselves as a Hungarian hip-hop band but actually they are a bit more mainstream pop than that. Experienced and accomplished live performers, Anna and the Barbies always put on an entertaining live show. If you are expecting a troop of plastic blonde teenage girls, you will sadly be disappointed, as the Barbies are mainly a bunch of "well-seasoned" and "experienced" over-30s men, whilst Anna herself is a bit more Madonna than Pixie Lott, these days. Website here, MySpace here.

El Buerdo Fuelo (Concert)
A38 terrace, 20:00, 500Ft inc. drink
They describe themselves as: "Mexican spices and hot aroma made into music, motion, dance and screaming by an excellent, young Hungarian band". I was almost hooked until they got to the screaming...
