Peter Doherty was born on 15th October 1940. Not that one silly, the hungarian born vetinary surgeon, winner of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1996 and Australian of the year 1997. Obviously.

It's the band who put the hair into hairy rockers. Should be good for a laugh anyway. Not sure if anyone actually takes their music seriously, these days, or ever did but ZZ Top have now been going for 40 years with the same line-up and they never look any older! This is part of their "Necessity is a Mother" tour.
Check out some You Tube footage here and official site here.

Also worth a gander...
Sub Electric Tour 2009 (Concert)
Gödör, 22:00, free
An 'industrial electro' flavour tonight at the ditch. Óperentzia sound pretty smooth from the one track on their MySpace, while Idem describe themselves as a 'live sound and visuals project' and sound more, erm... experimental. Vuneny hail from Mostar and are also on the interesting side, as demonstrated here.
Real Your Nature (Concert)
A38, 22:00, 1,000Ft
A Mixed bag tonight over at A38, with The Gaslamp Killer (he has a troubled mind apparently...), The Cloniuos (more soul than electronic), Cadik (nice songs with strange men rapping over the top) and Ozon (a bit of rock). Strange mix.
Gipsy-Flamenco Fusion (Concert)
Hunnia [map], 21:00, free
Ilan Shapir and Balogh Guszti mix gipsy and flamenco cars in a 'very exciting way'.
