Sonny and his Wild Cows (Concert)
Alcatraz, 20th October, 21:00, free
Old fashioned rock 'n roll, mixed with traditional rhythm and blues and a touch of rockabilly, Sonny and his Wild Cows actually offer a bit more than just a silly name. They are actually quite good at their chosen genre and provide an unusual evening's entertainment for nostalgic oldies and curious fun-seekers alike. So grease up that quiff, slip on those winkle-pickers and head down to Alcatraz!

Or how about...?
Vaczi Daniel Trio (Jazz)
Kőleves [map], 21:00, free
Modern jazz and improvisation from Daniel and his mates provide the regular Tuesday offering at Stone Soup. Myspace page here.
Waines and Ampersand (Concert)
Gödör [map], 21.00, free
In a blatant attempt at cashing in on the recent appearance of ZZ Top in Budapest, Gödör bring you the slightly less hairy Italian and German versions. The ZZ Zound-alikes can be heard on Myspace here and here.
Irie Maffia Soundsystem (Club)
Corvinteto 21:00, free
Columbo, Juno and Dermot are in the house, plying their DJ trade. Myspace here. It is likely to be raining, so the roof will probably be closed, and you will miss out on sitting in the glorified car park above the city until the sun comes up.
