Quite simply one of the greatest drummers of all times! Carl Palmer is best known for being one third of the 70s prog-rock band Emerson, Lake and Palmer (ELP) but, in fact, he rose to fame in the 60s with Atomic Rooster and then The Crazy World of Arthur Brown so that ELP was considered to be one of the first "supergroups" when they came together. After ELP split in 1979, Palmer went on to be a founding member of supergroup, Asia, who still continue to perform occasionally. In short, Carl Palmer is rock music royalty. Palmer is credited as an influence by many of the world's great rock drummers. He was one of the pioneers of the rock drum solo.
