Fourty years ago today, Pete Conrad became the third man to walk on the moon proving that there are no prizes for coming third! He did try slightly pathetically to claim the title of first man to dance on the moon but sadly nobody noticed. Whilst the world may have forgotten Pete in the mists of time, his musical spirit lives on with...

The Walrus Unplugged (Concert)
Pótkulcs 19th November 21:00, free
Csengery u. 65/b [map]
Pest, VI, Nyugati pu (T 4,6, M3), 5 min
The Walrus are big favourites here and undoubtedly Budapest's best indie band, who keep getting better and better with every gig.
This time, they are trying something new with an unplugged acoustic gig.
The Walrus are playing plenty of gigs around Budapest as part of the launch for their new and impressive EP release. Their raw Indie-rock sound is at its best live and this unplugged session should add even more fans to their growing followin. So we can certainly recommend this one very highly!
The concert will be followed by a DJ set from ViaBambi.

Also worth a gander...
Pornography (Theatre)
Merlin, 19:00, 2000 ft [map]
Simon Stephens' play, Pornography. is set in July 2005, when London experienced the highs and lows of the Live8 concert, the announcement of the successful 2012 Olympic bid and the horrific terrorist bombings. An impressive cast of local talent performs the play in English. Details here.
Open Mic Night (Comedy)
Manga Cowboy [map], 19:00, free
This is your big chance to be famous! We know you have been itching to get up in fron tof a live audience and tell all those jokes which you inherited from your hilarious grandma. All you have to do is head to Manga Cowboy and wow the audience. Alternatively you might want to show up and be thoroughly entertained by a bunch of budding comic talents, who have been dragged, kicking and screaming off the streets of Budapest.
The Twist (Concert)
Corvintető, 20:00, 800 ft
A good, solid Indie rock band who are well worth a listen, if you can fit them in on this unusually busy night for entertainment. Any Hungarian band which lists Frank Sidebottom amongst their MySpace friends is at least worthy of serious respect! The Twist's MySpace is here.
