04/02/10

The extremely popular and self obsessive social networking site Facebook was founded on this day by American born Mark Zuckerberg in 2004. In fact, Mr.Zuckerberg could well have poached the idea from the primative form of IWIW, (WiW) which was set up in 2002! Following the controversy that he stole the idea anyway from a classmate at college, IWIW was too late in capitalising on this idea but continues to be a huge success and social resource to many young Hungarians following the revamp of IWIW in 2006...
____________

Chris Rea (Concert)
Papp László Sportaréna, 19:30, 7500 ft / 19000 ft
Hungariá Körút [map]
Pest, XIV, Stadionok (M2), 2 min

The big man himself, Chris Rea has nothing to fear on his road to Budapest, continuing on his European comeback tour following his retirement in 2005.
Chris's career began with major success in Europe in the early 80's before UK audiences took notice which catapulted his songs into regular top 10 spots in both the UK and European music charts.
The 2010 tour is a stretch and a warm-up for Rea's musical muscles as he embarks on what is speculated to be another follow-up studio album in late 2010. We wish Chris the best of luck.

This Hungarian quartet has been together since 2007 and fronted by founder/composer Robi Dely who describes their music as dynamic with great sound effects.

Tárkány Művek (Concert)

Most [map] - 21:00
Creative folklore/jazz fusion quintet. Traditional style jazz mixed with 50's British seaside feel to put a nostalgic smile onto anyone who has had the pleasure to go to Blackpool on a summers day. Very unique and experimental and shows they have 'worked' hard to produce such an interesting style of music.

Carneval
(Musical)
National Dance Theater, Theater [map], 19:00
This 80 minute musical production explores the themes of transformation and the unknown side of the heart, and starring the works of the awarding winning Choreographer Duda Éva. Lovely.
