"On a Sunday morning sidewalk, I'm wishing, Lord, that I was stoned..." But Johnny Cash, to the best of my knowledge, was never in Budapest, where there are other options to consider...

Petőfi hid [map]
Buda, XI, Petőfi híd (Budai hídfő) (T4/6), 2 min

You've been granted a reprieve! Yesterday's triple-header of female-fronted Dutch and Hungarian bands sold out rather quickly, so they've agreed to play tonight as well! Péterfy Bori, Lolly Jane Blue and Roosbeef, all of whom are much more interesting than Alanis Morrisette and Dido.

L1 Contemporary Dance Festival Closing Night
(Dance)

Mu Színház
, 9th March, 20:00
Korösy József u.17 [map]
Tel. 209-4014
Buda, XI, Fehérvári út (T4/6), 2 min

Three performances close out the festival: Ladjánszki Márta's award-winning 'Sisterhood', Bakó Tamás', 'Serenade' and Szabó Réka's 'The Symptoms'. The nice thing about Dance Theatre is that it transcends language.

There Will Be Blood (Film)

Művész, 11:15, 14:15; 19:45, 9th March

Teréz körút 30 [map]
Pest, VI, Teréz körút (T4/6), 1 min

There'll be Blood, I tell thee! Paul Thomas Anderson's new movie has has received fantastic reviews and somehow failed to pick up this year's Best Picture award at the Oscars. Not that that means anything.

Also
Craft Fair 10:00-18:00, 600ft [map]
Pest, XIV, Széchenyi Fürdő, (M1) 5 min

Cheap junk, expensive junk, interesting junk, broken junk, working junk, puzzling junk... there's nowhere better for rubbish on a Sunday morning than the Bolhapiac, in the heart of the city park.

Lego Exhibition

Duna Plaza, until 30th March, 10:00 - 19:00
Váci út 178, [map]
Pest, XIII, Gyöngyösi utca(M3), 1 min

Lego, as we know it, is 50 years old. It began as a build-what-the-hell-you-want kind of operation and moved on to diggers, electric trains, Star Wars, and now finally, Escher's impossible constructions. Duna Plaza has never been so interesting.
