Pest Centre, VI, Deák tér (M1/2/3), 1 min
The Drótanya (Wiremother) festival is about experimentation.
Whether it's Pent Leditgrant's squelchy elektronika or Rovar17's chaotic, industrial landscapes, it's not going to be on mainstream radio any time soon. Contemporary dance too from the SHU workshop. Line-up and links here.

The National Museum captures last year with exhibits from the 2007 press photos competition. Whether it's Orbán pulling down the metal fences surrounding the parliament or the ridiculous marches of the Magyar Garda, it's an interesting portrait of a country.

Filmed between 2005 and 2007 in Ecuador, Mexico, the Congo and Cambodia, Ferenc Moldoványi follows the lives of seven children, for whom hardship and exploitation is reality. It's not easy viewing but it does shed some light on some of the darker corners of the world.

Dancer, Ferenc Fehér, and choreographer, Anikó Juhász (aka O Caruson) take over the cellar in Sirály for two consecutive evenings, staging their take on Woyzeck. Fehér's style is based on street dance and martial arts although, to the untrained eye, it may look like he's just messing about in front of a video.
