04/08/08

Well, I guess everyone's getting ready for Sziget - even Gödör's given up the ghost until the 18th! There are still one or two things worth considering...

Malacka és a tahó / FlyJam (Concert)
A38 terrace, 4th August, 21:00, 500Ft (includes a drink)
Petőfi hid [map]
Buda, XI, Petőfi híd (Budai hídfő) (T4/6), 2 min

The hub's unintended ska obsession continues!
Self-professed ska-funk-pork-'n'-rollers,
Malacka és a tahó (Piglet and the beast), are what Madness might have been had they been completely off their trollies. Pair that up with the space-rock of FlyJam and you have a very odd combination indeed.

Also recommended...

The Trap / Annie Hall (Films)
Örökmozgó [map] 4th August, 18:30 and 20:30 respectively
First up is Oliver Reed, trapping a mute girl in the Canadian wilderness, and second is Woody Allen's masterpiece - judge him on this. Reviews here and here.

Better than nothing...

Heaven Street Seven (Concert)
Zöld Pardon, 4th August, 20:00
Indie alsorans Heaven Street Seven may not be the most inspiring band to play Zöld Pardon this summer but if it's a nice evening and you want some live music on in the background, it might do the trick.
