11/08/08

The Sziget Festival kicks off tomorrow, so you'll probably be staying in tonight, right? Wrong. Someone's bound to call and you'll need something to do. And, since lots of places are simply not bothering, Gödör and Örökmozgó for example, it's not all that easy. Maybe try...

I'm Not There (Film)

Művész, all week, 17.45
Teréz körút 30 [map]
Pest, VI, Teréz körút T4/6), 1 min

It doesn't look like this will be showing for much longer, so seize the day, if you can there early enough. Six actors take on Dylan in Todd Haynes' ambitious biopic. It could have been awful, but isn't, and the sections with Cate Blanchett are magnificent. On the other hand, the scenes with Richard Gere (a man who you just want to reach into the screen and slap) are less so. Reviews here.

Once there was a way to get back homeward. Once there was a way to make a romantic musical that might not be as bad as you expect. Review here.
