Pineapple Express (Film)

Palace Cinemas (Lurdy, Westend, Mammut, Kossuth) 10th November, from 11:30 - 21:30
Palace Mammut: Lövőház u. 1-3 [map]
Buda, II, Szena tér, (T 4,6) 1 min

Superbadder Seth Rogan stars alongside dreamboat James Franco as they flee from drugloards on weed-fuled adventures. Rogan plays a despressing verge-of-middle-age man dating a high school girl and his indulgence is the wacky tabaccie. Pineapple Express follows suit in the genre that seems to have become all things Apatow. If you did indeed like Superbad, but also enjoy Spiderman, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, 40 Year Old Virgin, or Bambi, this is right up your alley.

Take a chance on...

Pandit Birju Maharaj & His Kathak Dance Group (Performance)
Trafo, 10th November, 20:00, 2500ft.
Take a trip east, or at least feel like you're in India with the traditional dance of Hindustan. Watch as this troop twirls and whirls, pitters and patters their way into your hearts. Grab a good curry beforehand and you'll have taken yourself a regular old holiday.

Wakachuka (Concert)
Gödör, 10th November, from 21:00, free
Lacking some mediocre Hunagrain rock in your life (hey, it's a Monday night afterall)? Wakachuka are here to pick up the slack. Myspace here. New sounds tonight also include Jonathan C. Nelson Band and Stereotone.

Balkan Táncház (Dance)
Petőfi Csarnok, 10th November, 19.00
T'Rakija sounds a lot like a windpipe and they do indeed play a pipe or two (the bagpipe and the shepherd's pipe, to be specific.) Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Macedonia and Serbia fuse together in a Balkan folk orgy.
