New Model Army (Concert)

Ráday Music Pub, 14th November, 4500Ft

Old-school eighties post-punk borderline goth-rock crops up on Ráday of all places in the form of New Model Army. They're probably looking like a bunch of dads these days but at least they're a genuine part of British rock history.

Revolution, machines and guns motivate the support from The Last Days of Jesus, who sound like they would have been happier in NMA's heydey. Myspace here.

British hip-hop doesn't have the highest international profile, although admittedly a little higher than its Hungarian counterparts. This guy's not bad, sometimes sounding as much like Ian Brown as Mike Skinner - myspace here. He'll punch your favourite rapper in the face.

Frenk (Concert)

Wonderfully weirdly-named weird band Frenk
won't dent your pockets and tonight won't abuse your ears either, since they've gone all acoustic. Video here.

Vodku (Concert)
After Music Club, 14th November [map]
Folk music; folk rock; but not like Steeleye Span. Check them out here.
