Saturday is a novel by British author Ian McEwan following a day in the life of 48-year-old neurosurgeon, Henry Perowne. It's also a day of the week. A good one, as the following proves...

Budapest? Hardcore music? Budapest has a hardcore music scene? It must be true. Germany's own Something Inside are bringing an 80s Youth Crew revival to the city tonight. If you haven't been two-steppin' with Xs on your hands in far too long and your Bad Brains hoody's been in the back of your closet, then tonight is something of an occasion, plus the show at A38 (seen below) probably isn't your thing.
Supporting are three quality straight edge bands worth checking out, all based in Hungary: Liberal Youth, Hold X True, and Motivation.
Also, a bit of shameless promotion if you're into hardcore; check out this book which the Hub's own, Jacob P. contributed to.

Never Say Die Tour (Concert)
A38, 22nd November, 19:00, 6500ft. at the door
If metal's your thing, and you've got a spare 6500 forint lying around then I'm sure this is a must for you. Unearth, Parkway Drive, Despised Icon, Architects, Protest The Hero, Whitechapel, and Carnifex will all be providing the soundtrack to tonight's testoster-fest. There'll certainly be enough of it slamming around in the bowels of A38 to make even the biggest of roid-ragers proud.
Zuboly (Concert)
Dürer Kert, 22nd November, 20:30, 600ft.
Zuboly are possibly the only band in the world to combine bagpipes with a human beat-box or two - and if you want to put them in a box, write "broken ethno" on it and everyone can go home happy. Their MySpace here. Following will be a DJ set by Vida G.
Budapest Art Fair
Műcsarnok, 22nd November, 10:00-19:00, €10
If you're a high-end art collector, this is what you've been waiting for. If you're more along the lines of the frugal readership we assume frequent this site, then you can go and ogle at all the contemporary art you can't afford. Regardless, there will be tons of art on display and for sale from successful Hungarian artists to more famous American contemporaries like Warhol, Basquiat, Lichtenstein, and Calder. More info here.
