R33 - Hungarian Underground (Festival)
Gödör, 5th December, from 19:00, 1200 ft
Erzsébet tér [map]
Pest Centre, VI, Deák tér (M1/2/3), 1 min
R33 is a rehearsal and recording studio, which is presumably what links the 24 bands playing over the course of 8 hours tonight. At 1200Ft you'd be hard-pushed to find better value for money either. Plenty of these guys are regulars on the Budapest circuit, including the tirelessly poppy Peterfy Bori, the madcap Balkan rhythms of Cabaret Medrano, the sinister industrial grooves of ION and the alt.pop Nemjuci.
Full line-up here, albeit in Hungarian.

Andrei Iskanov - Nails and two shorts (Films)
LUMU, 5th December, 18:00 [map]
Tonight opens with Tsukamota Shinya's bizarrely titled "The Adventures Of Electric Rod Boy" but after that it's Iskanov all the way, culminating in the ultraviolent horror, Nails. Trailer here. And don't forget - the filmklub usually starts with a lengthy Hungarian introduction... so get there late, or take a gameboy.
A Night at the Baths
Gellért , Rudas and Széchenyi, 5th December, 3500Ft
If you like the idea of late-night bathing but the Cinetrip idea always seemed a bit pricey, how about this? 3 baths, one ticket; all open until 4:00 am. Gellért hosts "Liquid Cinema", while Széchenyi has a swing-jazz theme and Rudas has DJs.
Pauly Pilot (Concert)
Szilvuplé [website], 5th December, from 21.00
Obuda's own PJ Harvey? Well, if you saw them before March this year, they had a different PJ but Eszti Kassai must be getting into the role by now. Myspace here.
