Buda, XI, Petőfi híd (Budai hídfő) (T4/6), 2 min

Contemporary jazz trumpeter famed for his fusions across the board, Erik Truffaz is back in Budapest, this time alongside DJ Maestro from Amsterdam to blow your mind with a mix of dance-jazz (or dazz, if you will).

Support tonight comes by way of experimental, psychedelic music from Hungarian quartet Santa Diver. While operating within a jazz idiom, are more than happy to blur musical borders and tonight marks their album release. Myspace here.

Take a chance on...

Cinetrip (Pool Party)
Rudas Baths, 7th February, 21:00, 5000Ft (available in advance from Merlin), 6000Ft (limited quantities at the door)
Either turn your music up very loud and invite your friends to bring some torches into the bathroom, or head down to Rudas for the large-scale version. This might just be the best way to cure your hangover, either that or keep it going. Don't forget your towel and mandatory flip-flops. Details here.

Light Music and Swinging Door (Performance)
Trafó [map], 7th February, 20:00, 1500Ft / 1200Ft students
Tonight marks the second night of the "Temps d'images" festival with two multimedia pieces. The performers in "Light Music" are a projectionist and a percussionist. Swinging Door, with dancer and live electronics, has its head firmly in the clouds: "If you think, I breathe, the I is extra. There is no you to say I. What we call I is just a swinging door..." Preview and further psychobabble here.

Total Eclipse (Concert)
Merlin, 7th February, 22:00, 3000Ft
I know what you're thinking: Total Eclipse, what a shitty band name. Well unless you're into trance, you'll think the music is shit as well. The fact that this trance is from France might get you to put on your pants and just get out there and dance, c'mon, give it a chance. Are tickets cheaper in advance? Nope. More info here.
