Progressive, rock and classical is how they'd define themselves. An unusual amalgam for sure, but their unique blend is part of an ever changing sound that's been the focal point of their music since they formed in 1986. Ten albums later, After Crying's performance comes to Budapest, this time under the umbrella of the Budapest Spring Festival."Unparalleled in Hungarian music palette," After Crying strive to bring fresh, innovative vocals and beats to jazz up a sound deeply rooted in the classical tradition. Tracks range from truly innovative to those better left in orchestral form. Results are mixed, though catchy and certainly a worthwhile stop amidst festival festivities.Try them out here.
