If you were in London this afternoon, you could go to a pub auction! It's not as good as it sounds though: only one pub. You'd be better off drinking your way through the bars section or trying one of these:

Gemma Quarterman (Concert)
Billed as the Stockholm Syndrome Live, the rest of the programme involves Oasis wannabes, The Walrus, and the lead singer out of The Puzzle. Just another "the" band? Exactly.
Gemma Quarterman (Concert)
Despite a healthy "gentle folk" movement in the UK and US, little has appeared in the cultural island that is Hungary. Brummie singer-songwriter Gemma Quarterman puts a satisfying end to that by playing delicate, heartfelt folky ballads. Ironically, she's still playing tiny gigs in the UK despite being a real talent. Proof here.

Also worth a gander...
International Roma Day (Festival)
Tűzraktér, free
It's International Roma Day and no one seems to have noticed, apart from Tűzraktér, who host live music, dance lessons and stuffed cabbage! High profile celebrations, then.
I'm Not There (Film)
Művész [map], 15:15
Six actors take on Dylan in Todd Haynes' ambitious biopic. It could have been awful, but it isn't, and the sections with Cate Blanchett are magnificent. Reviews here.
Shortbus (Film)
Művész [map], 22:00
This is John Cameron Mitchell's sexy "fuck you" to censorship in film - an exploration of an array of sexual behaviors, all somehow culminating in one place: Shortbus. Shortbus? What's that got to do with any of this then? Well it must be alright if Művész seems to show it about once a month like clockwork. Uncensored trailer viewable here. Oh and this is rated X. Yeah! IMDB here.
Independent Wednesday Night (Club)
Szimpla Kert, free, but beer now costs 550Ft at Szimpla!
What more info do you want about tonight's Indie night other than it's "by Kid"? Who's Kid? Well it's a beer bottle-with-a-nipple sippin' 12-year-old kid spinnin' records of course.
