17/04/09

What a good week since Good Friday! The week after the day that Jesus was supposedly nailed up on that there cross. Well, you could treat it like the Friday after Thanksgiving and be thankful there are no spikes through your appendages while attending one of these...

Deck Attack, Gumipop (Various Clubs)

Corvintető, 17th April, from 21:00
Corvin Áruház, Blaha Lujza tér 1-2
Pest Centre, VIII, Blaha Lujza tér (M2, T4/6), 1 min

Why party inside when you can party on the roof? From Vampire Weekend to the Beatles and everything in between. The indie/electro dance party (held just below) is sure to have hipster chicks frantically dancing and simultaneously puking in the corner. It's always a surefire good time.

Tavaszi TASZ-Buli, DJ-K (Concert)
Kőleves [map], 20:00
First Kőleves jumps on the bandwagon with a jazz night of its own. Now they're hosting a spring party with a handful of local DJs to run riot. Dare we even predict what comes next?

DJ Nestor (Concert)
Lámpás, 21:00, free
Lámpás has finally reopened after a lengthy hiatus, and it's bigger too! Even if it's still too cramped to stand up and dance, at 350Ft a pint, you're onto a winner whatever DJ Nestor is playing.

Caracas Underpop (Concert)
Tűzraktér, 21:00, free
It's the Venezualan Days at Tűraktér. Expect some serious Latin beats, even more serious Latin dancing, and probably a much less serious "DJ Party" to follow. Worth checking out.

Marlboro Man (Concert)
Könyvtár Klub
, [map] 21:00, free
Ever wondered where Budapest's university students hang out on Friday nights? The Könyvtár Klub, hidden within ELTE's Astoria campus, is one the lesser known but more underrated spots. Marlboro Man's up first, followed by Lóripop.
