Art Of Livin' (Festival)
Tuzrakter, behind the yellow church on Kiraly,13th June, from 20:00, free
Hegedű utca 3 [map]
Buda, VI, Kiraly utca(T4, 6), 2 min
Theater, visual art, and music from Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, and Poland all coming together under one roof. Poland's ambient, sort-of spoken word collective, Inire kind of sound like if you were to read poetry in an abandoned warehouse amidst Halloween haunted house.
Prague's in the house representin' with the beats and rhymes of S.C.U.R. and there's plenty of other stuff thrown in this mixed bag. Check out the full list here.

Szülőszoba 19. - László Lilla & Co. (Concert)
Siraly, downstairs, 21:00
Improvised weird jazz is the name of the game as László Lilla and friends take over the "labour room" at one of our favorite spots in town. Myspace here.
MayDay (Festival)
Hajógyári Sziget, from 18:00, 4900Ft.
Mayday mayday, this festival is like the most important monster truck rally of dance/repetitive/DJ/electro music ever. The amount of gel in the organizers' hair must have prohibited them from actually even having the event in May, or it's a reference to how you'll feel if you go – like you're tailspinning in life. See how many muscle covered ddues and airheaded babes (along with DJs from all over the globe and some lasers) you can squeeze under one roof here.
Tilos Marathon (Concert)
Dürer Kert, from 16:00, 1000Ft
Tilos Rádió, Budapest's first "non-profit" radio station, started in 1991, is hungry for your money. To stay on the airwaves, this mainstay of Hungarian radio is holding its annual fundraiser concert at Dürer, where a slew of local acts will be taking to the stage. It's literally been going on for days, and days, and days. Line-up here.
Athe Sam Festival (Festival)
Gödör, 18:00 till late
Ok, so we keep featuring Athe Sam and there's a reason for that: it's the best thing on and it's culturally relavant – Roma awareness and stuff. Tonight, much like the other nights, the gypsy-folk is flowing. Gypsy jazz, Romano Drum, and even a táncház kicks off the night. Festival website here.
