National Gallop (Day of Horses)
Head down to Hősök tere today (and tomorrow and the next day), if you feel like catching some pretty odd stuff. A celebration of Hungarian culture and tradition - it's Hungarian Horse Day (or "National Gallop!"). Stables, folk music stages and food stalls will line Andrassy, while races take place in the square. They literally dump a bunch of dirt on the road and have horses run around the square. There will also be the opportunity to get on a real horse! (somebody should tell that child).

Also worth knowing about...
They Shoot Horses, Don't They? (Film)
Örökmozgó [map], 18:30
Do they shoot horses? They do. Don't they? Are they? Either way, it's a strange, (yet fitting, considering the event above) title. Sydney Pollack's 1969 movie about a depression-era dance marathon that made Jane Fonda's character delusional. Trailer here.
FA Cup Final (Football)
Sport Klub (i.e. most TVs) or Setanta (English), coverage from 15:00, k.o. 16:00
After the drudgery of the Champions' League final, you might want to see some football. This year it's all blue: Chelsea vs. Everton. While Chelsea are determined to win something after outperforming Barcelona for 91 minutes in the Champions' League semi, Everton are no lightweights, having finished 5th in the Premier League for the last two seasons. There's still everything to play for and forever to play it in.
Goodfellaz Urban Night (Club Night)
Corvintető, from 21:00
If you're neither good nor a "fellaz" you can still bump and grind to the likes of Anima Sound System (DJ set), Munk, Frequent, Rocksteady, and BA10.
Star Trek (Film)
Corvin mozi [map], 10:00, 14:30, 19:15
Did you know the Hungarian word for "nerd" is stréber? I'm just messin', but that really is the word. Just look at the awesome reviews all the other strébers gave the film here.
Soul & Gospel Festival (Concert)
Westend City Center, free
Fill up on Soul and Gospel at zero cost, though one could say Jesus, shopping malls/capitalism go hand in hand (especially because this is in a mall for god sakes). If you're not into Jesus and you hate the mall, you could combine both and go and see if you can spot who's shopping and who's into the man upstairs and hate on them both. For those of you into Soul and Gospel there's more info here.
Revolutionary Road (Film)
Toldi, 14:30,
Everyone's favorite "Titanic" silver screen pairing, Lionardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet team up again in this Oscar-nominated film about why suburbs suck. IMDB here. Trailer here.
