Oh pull yourself together man, and try...

EuroMed (Festival)
EuroMed? Damn silly title. Still, the festival looks pretty good and it happens almost simultaneously in three different cities: Budapest, Katowice and Belgrade. According to the website, "They are supposed to use Arab, Jewish, African, Balkan and jazz musical elements..." They're supposed to. Don't know if they will.
Details in English here and full programme here.

Karen Carroll & The Mississippi Grave Diggers (Concert)
Millenáris [map] 20:00, 2000Ft (adv.); 2500Ft (door)
Do you dig graves? They're alright. Blues and Gospel singer, Karen Carroll has swapped the Mississippi for the Danube and dug up a Hungarian backing band along the way. Deep-voiced Chicago-Budapest Blues. Details and videos here.
Facing The Enemy (Szemtől Szemben) / Po-lin (Films)
Örökmozgó [map], 18:00, 20:30
The Visegradi film festival brings a clutch of Czech, Slovak and Polish films with English subtitles. Now, the way these films are titled is a serious source of confusion. Take the first one, for example. The Hungarian title translates as "From Eye To Eye" but that's also the Hungarian title for the Pacino/De Niro vehicle, "Heat", so look out for confused Hungarians. It is in fact, a 2007 Slovak World War Two film, details here. Po-lin, on the hand, consists of archive footage of pre-war Poland and focuses on the co-existence of Jewish and Polish cultures. Fascinating.
Crosstalk (Festival)
Gödör, 12:00, free
The six-day festival of video art continues. The MUSAC collection lends a Spanish tinge to this international festival - details of all the films doing the rounds on the website here. If you can work out what's happening when, you're a better man than me.
50% Depeche Mode Klub (Depeche Mode Club - 50%)
Filter [map], from 22:00
In Hungary, Depeche Mode are bigger than the Beatles! (They've been misled.) Smoky underground club's regular indie night.
