Rekontra (Concert)

Hard-to-find Pótkulcs hosts Rekontra, like it does every week. We have a tendency to list them every week too but they rarely get our main slot. Today, however, the words "jack" and "shit" spring to mind when looking at what the day has to offer.
So if you haven't already, check these guys out. They breathe more life into traditional folk music than you might think possible. The cimbalom is lord! Worship it. Listen here.

Or how about...?
Coffee and Cigarettes (Film)
Örökmozgó [map], 18:30
A series of coffee shop vignettes, including some hilarious exchanges between Tom Waits and Iggy Pop; Bill Murray and the Wu-tang Clan (who don't drink coffee); and Jack and Meg White.
Pleszkán Frigyes / Papamobile (Concert)
Treffort Kert (Outside Könyvtár Klub) [map], 18:00
Pleszkán Frigyes, who appears in a fuzzy video here, jazzes up your outdoors with a few of his closest chums. Meanwhile, Russian covers band, Papamobile turn everything a shade Tarantino.
Irie Maffia Soundsystem (Club)
Corvinteto
Well, Barabás Lorinc and Dagadu Sena have little to do with tonight's proceedings but Columbo, Juno and Dermot are in the house, plying their DJ trade. Myspace here. If you don't fancy it, the roof's open now, so you can sit in the glorified carpark above the city until the sun comes up.
