What's happening? Suzanne Vega's playing Gödör!
"What's wrong with that?", I hear you ask. Well, nothing, it's just a little unexpected. While Gödör's pretty consistent with anything Hungarian or Balkan, I don't recall the last time they attracted a critically acclaimed US singer-songwriter.
Advantage: she's playing a decent bar and not Millenáris. Disadvantage: the acoustics in Gödör are questionable at best.
Most recent universal acclaim here.
Also worth knowing about...
Irie Maffia (Concert)
Zöld Pardon [map], 20:00
Barabás Lorinc and Dagadu Sena are both involved in the reggae/hip-hop/dancehall project, Irie Maffia, along with a million other projects. They're incredibly hard working.
Ska-Reggae (Concert)
Kobuci kert [map] Óbuda, free
I Foundation, Rizsa, and A Láma Dalai play... ska... and some reggae. It's not the real Dalai Lama. He doesn't like reggae. He loves it.
Milk (Film)
Művész [map], 17:00
What? You've got a problem with gay people? Well, Harvey Milk was gay! The first openly gay US politician, that is. Gus Van Sant's warm, evocative docu-drama captures the spirit of a man on a personal and political mission, and won two Oscars for its efforts. If you still haven't seen it, now's your chance to see James Franco's killer mustache. Rave reviews here.
