Sex Action (Concert)
Zöld Pardon, 28th July, from 20:00Goldmann György tér 6 [map]
Buda, XI, Petőfi híd (Budai hídfő) (T4/6), 2 min
Ganxsta Zolee is taking time out from his usual career as a fake and mispelt gangster to team up with his friends Wolfchild, Electric Joker and Mikki the Kid for some Sex Action. Verging on the Spinal Tap side, this actually isn't that bad if you like guitars and strange groaning in Hungarian.

Karaván Familia (Concert)
Westend City Center [map]
Lead by Istvan Nagy and his wife, Ilona Farkas, the Karavan Familia really are a family. In 2003, they augmented the band by adding their children, who 'grew into their new roles' (!) Traditional Gipsy music from the Balkans to Andalusia. Watch them play "the blues" here.
Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen Evening (DJ)
SMs Cafe [map], free
Lots and lots of songs by two of the finest living songwriters. They won't be there, by the way. Imagine having to listen to your own songs all night.
Rekontra (Concert)
Pótkulcs 21:00, free
Breathing more life into traditional Hungarian folk music than you might think possible on a Tuesday night. The cimbalom is king! Listen here.
Irie Maffia Soundsystem (Club)
Corvinteto
Well, Barabás Lorinc and Dagadu Sena have little to do with tonight's proceedings but Columbo, Juno and Dermot are in the house, plying their DJ trade. Myspace here. If you don't fancy it, the roof's open now, so you can sit in the glorified carpark above the city until the sun comes up.
