November has arrived. The nights may be drawing in and days may be getting colder but spare a thought for the good men of Australia and New Zealand who spend the entire month celebrating the festival of Movember, which involves growing and cultivating moustaches for the full 30 days. The Budapest Syndrome (Radio)

90.3 FM radio in Budapest
Online at: www.Tilos.hu

As Winter approaches, what better way to have fun than relaxing at home or on the road with great music and some decent English language comedy? The Budapest Syndrome is broadcast every 2 weeks on Sundays and offers a mix of new and old Indie Music with plenty of chat, comedy and banter in English amongst the panel of regular presenters and guests. After a recent switch of radio stations and a slight name-change, the show remains the most successful and popular English entertainment show on Hungarian radio. Listeners are also encouraged to join in and contribute to the live show via an online chat-room and emails. Listen here.

Also worth a gander...

Porcupine Tree (Concert)
Petőfi Csarnok, 20:00
A rare opportunity to hear one of the superstars of "prog rock" in the last 20 years. Originally from the UK, the band has always enjoyed more success in the US than Europe, even being nominated for a grammy award. The music is firmly rooted in the prog-rock of the 70s and 80s but it is constantly changing and evolving. MySpace here. Support comes from France's Demians.

Big Fat Chubby and the Swamp Busters (Concert)
Alcatraz, 20:00, free
Despite what the name might imply, this is not in fact a troop of ballet dancers but is actually a Hungarian mix of louisiana swamp blues, texas trucker country, early rockabilly, southern music and country-boogie. Swamp Busting MySpace here. Chubby website here.

EtnoGödör (Concert)

Gödör, 20.00, free
Hungarian folk music from Orthent and Túlpart. Not much info around about them apart from a small description without music on MySpace here.
