20/12/09

The 20th of December has been dull throughout history. In 1957 Elvis Presley recieved his draft notice and in 1999 the USA invaded Panama. Apart from these the most exciting event was the handover of Macau from Portugal to China in 1999. Try & make this December 20th a bit more interesting eh?...

Sense of Silence & Burning Star (Concert)

Rocktogon Pub & Roll, 20th December, 20:00, Free
1060. Budapest, Mozsár u. 9. [Map]

Two treats for the ears tonight at Rocktogon, but silence isn't one of them. Never ones for a quiet night in, rock/metal fans head over for some decent noise of the usual Rocktogon thrash type.

Sound of Silence are up first, have a look at their extensive website here for a good idea of what to expect. Burning Star don't make themselves easy to find in internet land, but it is a safe bet they will be along similar lines. Enjoy.

Also worth a gander...

Cöki Jam (Concert)
Cökxpon, 21:00, free
Jam session which invites all and sundry to bring along their instruments and join in. Could be a lot of fun, could be a noisy nightmare.

AudioPornCentral (Club)
Corvintető, 21:00
Sounds good, which I guess is the idea of the name... DJ Schmolli will be schmokin' & Simon Iddol will be on fire. Possibly. Remember not to use the lift in the event of the aforementioned fire.

Majsai Gábor és a White Christmas Band (Concert)
Arena Plaza, 15:00, 17:00, 19:00, free
A "Hungarian Tom Jones" singing Christmas songs, whats not to like? Shudder. If you have a strong stomach or are a masochist then get down to Arena Plaza & get Christmassy. Go to the first show & if its that good then hang around for all three!
