To all you football fanatics out there, Chelsea are celebrating the 105th anniversary since they were founded. `Golden team` Hungarian hero, Ferenc Puskás, was rumoured to manage Chelsea football club but refused the offer because he didn`t want to miss out on the joy and excitement of Budapest`s night life...

Since 2002, this semi-professional jazz ensemble was put together to fulfill the rising demand for Jazz music at the beginning of the century. Still going strong eight years later, Vaczi Eszter Quartet have gone from strength to strength, building a tight reputation and bringing out albums left, right, and center.

Fronted by the beautiful Vaczi Eszter herself, she "employs" a selection of jazz musicians to play the beautiful broken rythems under her Madeline Peyroux style melodies and texture.

A definite recommendation if all you want to do on a spring Sunday evening is sit in a warm, comfortable room with beer on tap, listening to something sweet and easy to listen to.

The kertész folkdance ensemble was founded in Budapest in 1972. We might say that it is as old as the Hungarian folkdance-house movement, which started out exactly in the same year. The kertész folkdance ensemble celebrates its 30th years anniversary this year!
