13/2/08

As far as thehub Events Diary is concerned, the week starts on Thursday and ends on Wednesday. Which makes today Sunday, in a sense. Doesn't mean you have to sit at home though, just because we're back at work tomorrow.

Get ready for a new week of events appearing on Thursday morning but in the meantime...

Swing Girls (Film)

Örökmozgó, 18.30, 13th Feb, free
Erzsébet krt. 39 [map]
Pest Centre, VII, Király utca (T4/6), 3 min

This Japanese film doesn't look wonderful, but it is free. And some of the best things in life are Japanese. Girls meet jazz, apparently, with English subtitles...

Turntable Bar (Club)

Merlin, from 22.00, 13th Feb, 1000 ft
Gerlóczy u.4 [map]
Pest Centre, V, Deak tér (M 1,2,3), 4 min

Not the place to buy a pint of turntables, rather this is Budapest's newest soul, funk, breaks and hip-hop event. Wednesday's a school night though, so don't stay out too late. You'll be rubbish in the morning.
