25/03/08

Celebrate Béla Bartók's 127th birthday this Tuesday and do it in style! What do you mean "Who's Béla Bartók?" Only the most fearsome all-Hungarian composer ever to be a founding father of the field of ethnomusicology! Undoubtedly, he will approve of tonight's events, if he gets the chance to check.

(By the way, if you're wondering where Wednesday's events are, they'll be published soon. Andy Sz has been in Prague with his Mum, and Andy T is in Szentendre. Hence the delay...)

No Country for Old Men (Film)
Művész, all week
20:00, 22:15
Teréz körút 30 [map]
Pest, VI, Teréz körút (T4/6), 1 min

The Coen's new movie is by turns, frightening, tense and laconic. Josh Brolin is a revelation and Javier Bardem makes a great villain. It's worth seeing, just for Bardem's daft haircut.
