Folkfree (Concert)

A38, 13th February, 21:00, 2500Ft / 2900Ft
Petőfi hid [map]
Buda, XI, Petőfi híd (Budai hídfő) (T4/6), 2 min

Folkfree is something that shouldn't work; on paper it just seems ridiculous. Gypsy folk fused with drum and bass, a huge helping of hip-hop, a dash of dub, and plenty of scratching and electronics. Hey, if the Beastie Boys could go from hardcore, stripped down punk to hip-hop and do it well, then I'd say Folkfree is Hungary's Beastie Boys. Oh, and tonight is their album release.

When your sound is so conducive to a crossover of just about any genre of music, you're bound to have a ton of friends. Also on for tonight are Bauchklang,
Dub Pistols, MC SirReal, and others. Official info here.
