It's International Day of the Jedi today. May the 4th be with you! Ha! Today, people throughout the world celebrate how funny it is to write Jedi on anything official. Religion: Jedi. No, really, I am. I am a Jedi and you can't tell me otherwise.

Béla Ágoston and Frank London (Concert)

Béla Bartók National Concert Hall, MUPA
4th May, 1100 - 3100Ft
Komor Marcell utca 1 [map]
Pest, IX, Boraros tér (T 4,6), 8 min

That's Frank London, right there, with the tiny little trumpet. You may know him from the Grammy Award winning Klezmatics. On his trusty shoulders is tiny little flautist and composer Béla Ágoston. You may know him from the Grencsó Collective and Kampec Dolores.

Either way, Béla looks bigger in real life but sounds just as good.

Tickets and proper information here. Pretty cheap for MUPA too.

Take a chance on...

Irish Táncház (Dance)
Fővárosi Művelődési Ház [map], 19:00, 700Ft
"The official site of Greenfields the best Irish folk music group in Hungary is on the Internet now", it says, on what is presumably the official site of Greenfields, the best Irish folk music group in Hungary. Website here. Location and other táncházak here.

Fekete Linda Rio Trio (Concert)
Budapest Jazz Club [map]
WARNING! If you don't like kitsch, you won't like this. In fact, you won't like this unless you live, breathe and drink kitsch and sleep with it every night. Nothing to do with Brazil.

The Reader (Film)
Művész [map] 15:15, 17:30, 19:45, 22:00
Yes, it's another Holocaust film. "Plodding and earnestly morose" or "majestically sombre and always gripping"? You decide. Kate Winslet exposes her ample chest. Reviews here.
