Since closing its doors last summer for an indefinite period of time, the Dorottya Gallery has had a questionable future. While that future still remains in the balance, for the time being the gallery will be holding exhibitions, and this, the first in a series, will explore the Dorottya and its place in history. It's been around for about half a decade, which would mean it would be a shot to the heart of Budapest's art scene if it indeed does go the way of the dinosaurs. Official info here.

With a particular handle on the 60s and 80s, and a stronghold in Central and Eastern European contemporary art, LUMU serves up what's been lurking in the depths of their permanent collection.
